"Love the smell" November 17,2009
"Downy Total Care "Cool Cotten" is the best smell ever. However, I can no longer find it in my area. This was the worst decision ever by P&G to discontinue the COOL COTTEN scent. Bring it back!!!!" - Julie, NC

"I have used many fabric softner brands over the years. Downey has always been my favorite, but after trying the total care renewing rain I will no longer use any other brand or scent of downey....I have found it to be the best on the market. It makes the clothes extra soft and the scent is the best out there. PLEASE do not ever take this product off the shelves!!!!!" - EvilLadyLynn, Severn Maryland

How to Use

When you add Downy TotalCare depends a great deal on your washer type. These days, fabric softener is easier to use than ever:

How it works

Downy TotalCare is our innovative fabric softener that helps prevent stretching and fading even as it softens. Our patented Color & Shape protection neutralizes chlorine in your water to prevent fading and smoothes fibers to reduce wear caused by friction.

During the rinse cycle, Downy TotalCare is released into the water where it’s infused into fabrics for fresher, softer results.

Measuring Instructions

Your Downy TotalCare bottle cap has three fill lines. Fill to lines marked as TC.
 
Lower line — for medium loads
Middle line — for large loads or front loading HE machine medium loads
Upper line  — for extra large loads or front loading HE machine large loads
