"Bring Back the "Original" April Fresh Scent" November 01,2009
"Since the addition of the new Scent Pearls, the April Fresh Downy upon which I was raised, and which I've used since I started making my own purchasing decisions, seems to be gone, possibly forever. I bought several different bottles of the new formula hoping I was wrong, but they all have a very strong floral undertone to them. Thanks to the Scent Pearls, this smell lingers in the dryer and in my clothes for a long time. If it was the old, wonderful Downy smell that I've loved so much I would be thrilled, but since I can't stand strong floral smells it looks like I'll be hunting for a new fabric softener as soon as my last bottle of the old formula is gone. Its sad, my best friend of over 20 years once told me that the scents that she associated with me were Downy and vanilla. How to Use

When you add Ultra Downy depends a great deal on your washer type. These days, fabric softener is easier to use than ever:

How it works

During the rinse cycle, Ultra Downy is released into the water where it’s infused into fabrics for fresh, soft results.

Softeners help the surfaces of clothing feel soft to the touch. They also help neutralize the negatively charged particles in scratchy fabrics that cause static cling. And in addition to incredible freshness, many Ultra Downy scents also contain Renewing Scent Pearls, which release with movement.

Measuring Instructions

Your Ultra Downy bottle cap has three fill lines.
 
Lower line — for medium loads
Middle line — for large loads or front-loading HE machine medium loads
Upper line  — for extra-large loads or front-loading HE machine large loads
