Daisy Dreams

Posted by Linda (Quilter) on June 26, 2010 Tags: daisies music dreams
This very bright quilt is made up of "flower children" type daisies on front as the focus fabric, coordinated with very colorful turquoise and lavender solids. The back is as exciting as the front ... colorful guitars, hearts, music and Dreams! I hope it will help a little one dream their way to better health.

One day my doorbell rang and I went to answer it. There was a package for me. I was surprised because I hadn't ordered anything. When I opened it I found this lovely quilt kit. I couldn't imagine why I had gotten it so I called the number on the bottom of the page to check it out. I finally decided after talking to the lady that someone else had ordered it for me. I was a bit upset because I am a hand quilter and busy quilting for my grandson who is expected in August. I didn't think I had time to do this but decided it would be for a good cause. I got busy and got it sewed together in a few hours. Anyhow, it went faster than I thought it would and now all I have to do is mail it back. I would have called this quilt "Peace in the Posey Patch" because I am a cancer survivor and when I found out about my cancer in 2001 a friend told me she would pray for me to have peace. I felt so at peace and can only explain that it came from God. I wanted to be angry but I could not because of this peace that passes all understanding. I guess it was meant for me to get the kit with the peace symbols. Oh yes, I found out my daughter, the nurse, signed me up. I have prayed for the child that will receive this quilt.
