"Clean Breeze Scent, come back!" January 14,2010
"I have not been able to find my Clean Breeze Scent dryer sheets for a few months now. I love the fact that my Tide Bleach Alternative and fabric softener and dryer sheets all have the same terrific smell. Why is it so hard to find at the stores? Please bring it back!" - Tigressa, Savannah, Ga

"Where are they" December 30,2009
"I have been using this scent for over 10 years and yet it has become nearly impossible to find. I cannot find the Tide in Clean Breeze w/o bleach or downy added in already and the dryer sheets have virtually disappeared from Target and Walmart. In its place is the more expensive new Simple Pleasure line. Are we going to lose it entirely soon" - KayJay, Chico, CA

How to Use

Downy® Sheets are a convenient way to add softness, freshness and static control to the dryer. Simply transfer your cleaned, damp laundry from the washing machine to the dryer. Toss in one Downy Sheet (per load) on top of the damp laundry, start the drying cycle and dry as usual. Discard the used sheet when drying is complete.

How it works

Downy Sheets are heat activated. The spinning motion disperses softeners throughout the dryer for fabrics that feel fresher and softer than the leading regular liquid detergent alone. Downy Dryer Sheets also help neutralize the negatively charged particles in scratchy fabrics that cause static cling.

A.Before each load, toss a sheet into the dryer drum along with your clothes. Heat plus the tumbling movement of your dryer will allow the transfer fabric softener to your clothes.
Q.Can I use Ultra Downy Sheets on all my fabrics?
A.You can use Ultra Downy Sheets on clothing, towels, linens—and more. If you have doubts, check the label to be sure. However, you should avoid using fabric softener on children’s clothing or linens as fabric softener can cause fabrics to become more flammable.
Q.Does Ultra Downy come in liquid?

Q.Can I use Ultra Downy Sheets and Liquid on the same load?
A.You certainly can. Ultra Downy Sheets go in the dryer, of course, and Ultra Downy Liquid goes in the washer. You may experience a stronger scent by using both at once. But if you love scent, we say go for it!
Q.Will Downy Sheets irritate my skin or cause allergic reactions?

Q.Do Downy Sheets affect the drying time on clothes?
A.Nope, your dryer settings are the only thing that should affect drying time. Try upping the spin cycle of your machine if you find laundry is drying too slowly.
Q.Will Downy Sheets stain my clothes?
A.Ultra Downy dryer sheets are formulated so they won’t stain your clothes, though all fabric softeners do run a small risk of staining. Here’s how you can remove fabric softener stains if they do occur:
  • Nonwashable fibers  — Dampen the stain with water and rub gently with bar soap (avoid deodorant soap) or a liquid laundry detergent like Tide. Rinse thoroughly, and then blot excess liquid and allow to dry.
  • Washable fibers  — Again, dampen the stain with water and rub gently with bar soap (avoid deodorant soap) or a liquid laundry detergent like Tide. Rinse thoroughly, and then send fabrics through the wash again.
